Growing Together in our Love of God, Learning and Life

Guiding Lights

Jesus said

'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.'

Our Guiding Lights

Our Guiding Lights are four representatives from Year 5 who have a hugely important role within school, planning and leading worship and supporting the Christian ethos shining through within our Christian school family. The Guiding Lights work with the head teacher, Mr Noon to evaluate worship provision and the Christian ethos of our school. They prepare and lead whole school worship once per half-term and are also involved in charity projects, supporting in preparation of church based events and feeding back to the RE and worship leaders about the Christian ethos within school. Our Guiding Lights ensure children in school feel safe, secure and loved. The Guiding Lights make sure all our children feel they always have someone to go to if they ever feel in need of a friend.

Our Guiding Lights are chosen for their special qualities and we are proud of every child chosen to be a Guiding Light. Our Guiding Lights for 2020-2021 are:

Joe

Kara

Charlotte

Ethan

The work our Guiding Lights do is underpinned by our vision statement:

Pupils at St Nicholas CE Primary School are accepted and loved. They understand their worth and potential as life-long learners and as a child of God.
