Narconon Drug Prevention's "Tips for Parents"- Talking about Drugs

Some information from Narconon Drug Prevention and Education below:

Dear Parents

Building trust and open communication with your child is of upmost importance.  Make it safe for them to talk to you.

Make your position on drugs clear.  Communicate in a way that is natural and comfortable for you.

Here are a few suggestions - "I want to make sure you know that I don't want you to take drugs. I care about you and don't want to see you hurt."

"Drugs can be very destructive.  They have ruined many lives.  I don't want them to ruin yours."

"Just know that I don't want you doing drugs or drinking alcohol. I want you to be healthy and successful."

Set a good example, encourage and support personal goals however big or small.

Be informed on the harmful effects of drugs.  Info on Cannabis here.
