St Nicholas CE Primary School

Growing Together in our Love of God, Learning and Life

Welcome Message

Welcome to St Nicholas’ Church of England Primary School family where our Christian Ethos is at the heart of everything we do. At St. Nicholas, we have a duty to develop all our pupils in the image of Christ. All learners are provided with opportunities to meet their full spiritual and academic potential. Through access to a broad and ambitious curriculum, we will prepare our pupils for the next steps of their life journey.

We have lovely bright classrooms and beautiful school grounds that inspire a ‘Love of God, Learning and Life.' We are fortunate to have extensive outdoor spaces which provide unrivalled opportunities to develop a healthy, active lifestyle and to develop an understanding of environmental awareness.  Our extensive playing field contains a wonderful forest school and outdoor classroom where lots of exciting learning takes place.  We also have a purpose built Multi Activity Games Area which children access during PE lessons; before and after school clubs; and at lunchtime.

Our dedicated team of friendly staff work hard to make sure each child flourishes, both academically and socially, ensuring they are ready for the next stage of their education.

In our most recent OFSTED Inspection (January 2022) it was noted that, "Pupils, staff, parents and carers said that St Nicholas Church of England Primary School is ‘one big loving family’. It is a happy and welcoming place for pupils to learn and thrive." Furthermore, "The school’s values, and leaders’ commitment to nurture and develop the character of pupils, are of benefit to pupils’ wider personal development."

In our most recent SIAMs Inspection (June 2017) it was noted that "exceptional collective worship enriches the daily experience of the whole school community and nourishes
individuals to grow in their understanding of God, the church and each other."

Thank you for looking at our website and please do not hesitate to contact me or another member of staff if you require further information. Visits to the school are warmly welcomed – please contact the school office to come to see our wonderful school for yourself.
